Can a review be removed from RateMyAgent?
We often get asked if negative reviews can be removed from Rate My Agent. We understand that it hurts to get a bad review, and we also know that sometimes these reviews are not fair.
It is important to remember that these reviews are the opinions of your clients, and that is what the site is built for. If we removed all of the negative reviews, there would be no power in the positive ones.
Sometimes the answer is yes, we can
We do not read every positive review, and sometimes one goes onto our site that breaches our policies. Let us know and we will investigate it. However, every negative review comes through to the Head of Customer Experience Manager before going live onto the site. These are carefully read and will only be posted if they do not breach any of the following rules:
- containing inappropriate language
- completely unrelated to an agent's professional practice
- submitted by a competitor or related person
- submitted by a person found to have had no professional dealings with the agent
Before you ask us to remove a review
Please keep in mind that if it is a "Not Recommended" review then we have read it, and approved it. Regardless of the situation, if it does not breach one of the above policies we will not remove it. We have strict policies on this as the integrity of our site relies on both good and bad being posted publicly.

What if the client wants their review removed?
If the person that has submitted a review (good or bad) wishes to have it removed or edited, this will be done immediately and without question.
All they need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org
This MUST come from the email that they used to submit the review originally.
